Excalibur Vixen Crossbow

                    This fine example of an Excalibur Vixen Crossbow was used by a bowhunter who injured his shoulder working in the bush and couldn't draw his regular compound bow. Eventually his shoulder healed enough so that he could return to conventional bowhunting. This bow has had a bit of use but the string has been replaced recently and it has been very well cared for, so the condition is excellent. We have added a brand new Horton Mult-A-Range four-power crossbow sight (still with the factory one-year warranty), which normally sells for $250., to make this a formidable hunting crossbow capable of taking any game animal in New Zealand.

          Excalibur make some of the finest and most accurate crossbows in the world with special appeal to those of us who prefer the simplicity of the recurve limbs to the complexity of the compound bows. This Vixen has 150-pound draw weight with a 14-inch power stroke which delivers 285 feet-per-second of arrow speed. The Vixen is a high-performance crossbow that is manufactured with an eye towards economy, but with no sacrifice of quality or durability. The Vixen uses Excalibur's patented machined trigger unit and reliable recurve limbs to achieve amazing accuracy.
