Five-Zone Paper FITA Archery Target Faces

Paper archery targets actually have a few advantages over the Toughenised targets listed below. Most range officials agree that an arrow will punch a cleaner hole in paper than it will in the thicker toughenised material, which makes paper target faces easier to score properly. Thus NZAP recommend paper targets for any application that doesn't require the target to left out in the weather. The 40 and 60-cm sizes are printed on heavy card-weight paper and the 80 and 122-cm sizes are printed on tag-weight paper. Naturally, prices for paper targets include shipping anywhere in Australia or New Zealand if your order is over $250.00. Unfortunately we can not send the 122cm paper target to Australia with free shipping unless we first fold them in half.

Five-Zone Waterproof FITA Archery Target Faces

Toughenised target faces are made from reinforced paper that has been waterproofed. The waterproofed paper is reinforced with fibers making for a very tough, long-lasting, and tear-resistant target face. These are especially useful for clubs and schools that don't want to take in the targets after each session. Toughenised target faces can be left outdoors all season without any ill effects as they are UV resistant as well as being waterproof.

Official NFAA Field Archery Target Faces

NFAA field targets are white with black scoring rings and bull and are available in four sizes: 20cm, 35cm, 50cm and 65cm. The basic NFAA field round consists of 28 targets arranged over a walking course with two 14 targets units. In some cases there will be 28 targets arranged one after the other, or you might find a course of only 14 targets that is shot twice to make up a complete field round. In either case, the two 14-target layouts have the same number of shots, but not necessarily in the same order. On the 28 target field course, four arrows are shot at each target with 112 arrows being shot in a complete field round. Four arrows are shot at each target with a possible high score of 5 points per arrow or 20 points per target making a perfect score of 560 points.

Official NFAA Hunter Archery Target Faces

NFAA Hunter targets are black with white scoring rings and bull and are available in four sizes: 20cm, 35cm, 50cm and 65cm. The basic NFAA hunter round is similar to the field round using all-black target faces with a white centre dot. Shooting distances on the hunter round are anywhere from 33 feet to slightly over 200 feet. As with the field round, two sets of fourteen targets make a round of 28 with four arrows per target and a perfect score of 560 points.

NFAA Field and Hunter Round Target Face Sets

Here are the complete sets of official NFAA hunter and field target faces with enough for a 14-target course ( go around twice or use two sets for a complete round) included in each set. The field set includes 16 20cm target faces, 16 35cm target faces, 5 50cm target faces, and 4 65cm target faces and the hunter set includes 16 20cm target faces, 16 35cm target faces, 5 50cm target faces, and 3 65cm target faces. NFAA rules call for 4 65cm faces, 5 50cm faces, 4 35cm faces, and 1 20cm face for each 14-target set of a field round and 3 65cm faces, 5 50cm faces, 5 35cm faces, and 1 20cm face for each 14-target set of a hunter round. The extra 35 cm and 20cm faces are provided because these smaller faces get shot out quickly and don't last as long as the larger ones.

The quantities of target faces of each size in these sets is quite flexible and we will be glad to make adjustments if your club or orginisation is shooting a variation of the NFAA field or hunter round or needs another mix of targets for any purpose.

NFAA Indoor Archery Targets

The NFAA Indoor Target face is the official 20 Meter indoor archery target face. This one has the blue One Spot printed on one side and the five-spot printed on the other. It is 40cm square and printed on heavy paper. The five-spot side makes an excellent practice target as you can shoot one or two arrows at each spot, which greatly reduces damage to your expensive arrows by spreading them out a bit.

Three Spot Archery Target Face

The Three-Spot Archery Target Faces are printed on heavy tag-weight paper and are available in either a 40 cm square version or a vertical version. (The target faces in the illustration are not to scale. The scoring circles of each format are actually the same size.)
