Archery Tips and tricks QUICK TIPS

Hide Your Personal 3-D Target

Nearly every three-D target you see set up for personal use is standing out in the open in someone's back yard or paddock. It is convenient to have them positioned clear of obstructions where they offer a perfect shot and are easy to see. However, in the wild you will only encounter such an easy shot on rare occasions as it is the nature of game animals to stay out of sight as much as possible.

It makes a lot more sense to place your 3D target in as realistic setting as possible, the same way they are positioned on club and professional ranges set up for bowhunter tournaments. Placing your target behind any natural bush or foliage that is handy will not only make for more realistic practice sessions, it will make your shots more difficult. The more difficult the shot and the harder you make the target to hit, the fewer the hits, which means that your valuable target will last longer while making you a better and more skilled bowhunter.
