Ultra-Nok XL

Ultra-Nok XL

Ultra-Noks string loops are a great way to insure peep-sight alignment without using rubber tubing. And the Ultra Nok is the most popular metal nock NZAP sells. With previous versions of Ultra-Nok it was necessary to modify the arrow nock to get proper clearance, but the Ultra-Nok XL (extra long) is made to fit virtually any release aid and is the only metal nocking loop that will adjust to fit all arrow nocks.

The Ultra Nok features multi-position back plates that make adjusting the gap to fit the largest arrow nocks (11/32) to the smallest (G-Nock) as easy as switching plates.

String Nocks and Nock Points

String Nocks and Nock Points

These small brass clips clamp onto your string to position your arrow. The red ones are for large strings, the black are for medium strings, and the blue are for small strings.

It is very important to apply the correct size of nock point to your string as one that is two loose may slip and one that is too tight may cause premature failure of your string.

Naturally, NZAP provides one of these string nocks of the correct size with every string we sell.

Brush Buttons

Bush buttons (also known as brush buttons) prevent leaves, twigs, and other rubbish from getting caught in the tips of your recurve bow as you make your way through the bush, and they also silence the string.

To install bush buttons slip them over the end of your recurve bowstring, string the bow, then slide them up and down the string until they just barely touch the bow limb. Sold in packets of two.

Bowhunting Quivers QUICK TIP

When I install a cushion button on my Mathews DXT I always install an extra one that I keep at the bottom of the string next to the lower string silencer. That way, if my cushion button wears out, I have another one all ready to go without having to remove the string from the bow.
