A Quick-And-Easy Traditional Bow Case

Those camo fleece hunting trousers we all wear bowhunting in the bush can loose their soft texture after a season or two and become stiff and uncomfortable; it's just one of those things that happens to polypropylene fabrics. But don't despair, there is use on those old trousers yet as they can be fashioned onto a carry case for your longbow or recurve.

To make a recurve case from hunting trousers, just cut the legs off at the crotch and sew them together at the tops to make one long tube. Stitch up one end of the tube and you have your recurve bow case for any bow up to about 60 inches long. Longbows are usually longer than the two sewn-together legs of an average pair of hunting trousers, so the case is a bit trickier, but the principle is the same and anyone handy with a sewing machine can sort it out for you.
