Looking for a tough and dependable cut-on-contact broadhead but can't decide between a traditional fixed-blade design and a replaceable-blade design? Well the Muzzy Phantom might be the answer to your search because it is both of these things and more.
Phantom Broadheads are engineered for strength and are proven performers on some of the heaviest big-game species in the world, including elk and moose. The ultra-tough, resharpenable .040" primary blade cuts instantly on impact to drive deep into thick skin and muscle. And the patented, replaceable .028-inch-thick secondary blade guarantees massive blood trails while the ingle-piece aluminium ferrules ensure lasting integrity.
Phantom broadheads have stainless-steel primary blades fixed to an aluminium ferrule. The primary blade, with a wide 1-1/8" cutting diameter, does most of the work and is really a traditional cut-on-contact two-blade head with a slot for a bleeder blade.
The bleeder blade, which is also stainless steel, locks firmly into place when the Phantom is screwed onto the arrow. Phantom primary blades are easily re-sharpened and the bleeder blades are easily replaced. Or you may chose to use the Phantom without the bleeder. This will give you have an efficient and lightweight two-blade head capable of taking any game animal in New Zealand or Australia. Phantoms come in packets of three assembled broadheads. The phantom is an excellent choice for any serious bowhunter who prefers a fixed blade, cut-on-contact design and perfect for traditional bowhunters wanting a cut-on-contact broadhead with replaceable blades.
Note:Each packet of Muzzy Phantom broadheads now comes complete with a set of washers that fit between the arrow shaft and the base of the broadhead. This prevents the bleeder blade from shifting back into the shaft when used on an Easton FMJ arrow or any other arrow that uses the Easton HIT insert. These washers effectively prevent the bleeder blades from damaging the arrow shafts.
