The Muzzy Three-Blade broadheads have been around for years and have become the most popular replaceable-blade broadhead in New Zealand by a long shot. They are very popular in Australia as well. Muzzy Three-Blade heads feature a replaceable Trocar tip and a positive lock that keeps the blades in place when the bead is removed from the shaft. They never fall to bits when removed for storage as some others do.
We carry this popular broadhead in two weights: 100 grain with a 1 3/16-inch cutting diameter, and 125 grain, which also cuts a 1 3/16-inch hole.
Each packet of Muzzy 3-Blade Broadheads contains a complementary set of three practice blades (enough to do one broadhead) that are aerodynamically identical to the sharp hunting blades. You can use these practice blades for sighting in and broadhead practice without the chance of dulling your hunting blades. When you are ready to go hunting, it only takes a few moments to switch the practice blades back to the hunting blades.
If you like bowhunting action, here is a great
video showing a perfect stalk on a 1000kg Australian buffalo and a quick kill using a 100-grain Muzzy Three-Blade broadhead.
Muzzy three-Blade Broadheads are sold in packets of six broadheads. Assembly is required but is quite straight forward and trouble free..
