Limb Savers
To Quiet and Protect Your Bow
Vibration-control devices, such as LimbSavers, Bowjax and ThunderBlox, are used to reduce felt vibration and noise in your bow. Practically any bow, compound or recurve, will benefit from the installation of these simple devices. Install them on the outboard end of your limbs about two thirds of the distance from the riser to the tips making sure that they are located on a flat section of the limb where they won't interfere with cables or strings.
BowJax Limb Dampeners
Limbjax
The solid-limb Limbjax was the original limb-dampening device developed by Bowjax and the one that put the company on the archery map. Limbjax attach securely to the limbs of your bow by amazingly strong peel-and-stick adhesive. The four arms absorb the shock of a shot to reduce noise and vibration caused by the energy being released by the bow limb.
Slimjax
With the introduction of new slim-limb compound bows such as the Mathews DXT and Reezen a redesigned BowJax was needed to fit the new profile. So, building on the success of the original Limbjax, the engineers at Bowjax developed the Bowjax Slimjax solid limb dampener.
Bowjax research proved that a dampener with arms that contact the limb as they vibrate is far more effective at reducing noise and vibration than one that has no contact with the limb. This contact was designed into the Slimjax making it the most effective limb dampener system on the market. And the Slimjax works just well on traditional recurve bows as they do on modern high-speed compound bows.
Monsterjax
The Monsterjax is a further refinement of the Limbjax with a patent-pending design that demonstrates how the engineers at Bowjax are constantly developing new ways to apply and improve limb-dampening technology. The new Monsterjax works with six independent arms of different lengths that vibrate at different frequencies so noise and harmful oscillations are dampened out and eliminated across the entire spectrum of vibration frequencies. Solid limb Monsterjax should be placed on the flat part of the limb between the cam and the limb pocket. For maximum dampening effectiveness, Monsterjax should be oriented as shown in The photo. Split limb Monsterjax should be placed about 1 1/2" from the cam or wheel on the limb.

QUICK TIPS
Don't Overuse Silencing Devices
Silencing devices such as Limb Savers, AlphaShox, ThunderBlox, string silencers, and vibration-absorbing stabilisers are a great way to remove that last bit of noise and vibration from your bow. However, if you have a noisy bow, make sure you get it tuned properly before installing silencers.
Trying to quiet a noisy out-of-tune bow by installing silencing devices will work only up to a point and it will not help your bow or your shooting even a little bit.
