The GT500. Dead Quiet to Shoot!

Elite Outdoors LLC, which purchased the original Elite Archery company early in 2009, has quickly established a reputation for an excellent management team dedicated to developing and producing state-of-the-art compound bows designed to take advantage of all the recent advances in archery technology. Elite bows are known throughout the industry for their cutting-edge engineering, high quality, and excellent value for top-of-the-line hunting and target bows.

There are only four bows in the Elite 2010 lineup, one of which is the extremely successful GT500 in a slightly refined format from last year's lineup. The 2010 GT500 features the Elite two-track binary cam system and three-layer laminated limbs from the world-famous structural engineers at Gordon Composites. There is also an efficient string suppressor combined with BowJax Limb Silencers that make the GT500 dead quiet to shoot.

The Revolutionary Revolution Cam!

Elite that developing the new GT500 cam used on the GT500 involved over 1000 hours of intense engineering, and the results prove it.. The Revolution Cam is a two-track, hybrid cam system featuring a amazingly smooth draw for a bow shooting over 330 FPS IBO. The unique feature of the cam is that one of the tracks carries the string while the other track carries both cables where older binary cam designs had a track for each cable. When the bow is drawn, the single track for the cables allows better centering of the cables on the axle, which in turn greatly reduces the lateral forces that cause cam lean, limb twist and torque.

The GT500 also features stainless-steel axles and sealed ball bearings for long-lasting durability. New for 2010 is an ingenious replaceable module on the Revolution Cam that allows draw-length changes without compromising performance at different draw lengths as is the case with most other modular systems.

Impressive Specs from an Impressive Bow!

With its generous 7 1/8 inch brace height and an AMO speed of over 330 fps, the GT500 is an amazingly smooth bow to draw and a very forgiving bow to shoot. This unusual combination of qualities means that the GT500 is as perfectly suited for beginning bowhunters as for the seasoned veterans, and with a generous ATA length of nearly 35 inches, it will also have great appeal to 3D shooters and anyone interested in a compound bow.
