Gold Tip Carbon Arrows for Bowhunting and Target Archery

The XT Hunter Realtree APG is a midrange bowhunting and field archery arrow from Gold Tip with a durable and attractive Realtree RPG camo finish. The XT Hunter Realtree shaft is ruggedly constructed of wrapped carbon fibres to reasonable tolerances for the bowhunter who wants to move up to a graphite hunting arrow without spending a lot of money.

Gold Tip XTs are a quality arrow for a reasonable price. Each dozen XT Hunter arrows are hand weighed to within +/- 2 grains and finished using state-of-the-art ultrasonic system that gives the exterior of the shaft a smooth, clean, glare-free surface. Straightness tolerance is an acceptable +/-.003”, and is available in three sizes, 3555, 5575 and 7595. If you don't know the size you need, go send us your draw length, the kind of bow you are shooting, and the draw weight and we will calculate it for you.

Unless you are ordering bare shafts, the price below is for a complete ready-to-shoot arrow and includes fletching to your specifications with Elite Plastifletch, Bohning Killer Vanes, Blazer Vanes Or Duravanes, a nock, a HP insert, and a field point. There is a slight additional charge for feather fletching and for QuickSpin Vanes. If you prefer to make you own arrows, Gold Tip Hunter Camos are also available as a bare shaft with nock and GT insert included in the price.

Gluing Nocks In Carbon Shafts

If you are worried about your adjustable nocks shifting position during an important tournament or field trip, it is perfectly OK to glue them in place. However, there is no need to use epoxy, super glue, or even normal fletching cement as these products fuse the nock to the shaft making it difficult or imposable to remove if it is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Instead use any quality rubber cement such as Shelly's or Bostik. Put a small dab on the nock, push it into place, remove it until the glue drys to the touch, then replace it in the shaft. The rubber cement will hold the nock securely in place, but if you need to remove it, a strong twist with pliers will break the bond and you pull it from the shaft without difficulty.
