Bow socks (sometimes called bow sleeves) like this selection of Bowcases to fit Longbows and Recurve Bows from Neet and Martin Archery, are about as simple as you can get, yet they provide your valuable traditional bow a high level of protection. A simple bow sock is quite easy to make for yourself (see our NZAP QuickTip on the subject) if you have access to an old pair of hunting trousers (and who doesn't) but why bother when these martin cases are so reasonabley proced and look so good.
The Martin Longbow Case will fit most longbows as it's overall length is seventy-eight inches (that's very close to two meters), and it is five-inches (about 7mm) wide. If this is too long for your bow simply fold back the extra and tie it off with the drawstring that is sewn into the open end. The longbow sock is made form soft-but-durable black flannel.
The Martin recurve case fits all recurve bows and is primarily designed for one-piece bows. However, it is also a great way to transport your take-down recurve when you want to leave it assembled. The recurve case is made from the same heavy-duty flannel as the longbow case but this one comes with an attractive RealTree APG como finish. The open end is secured with a flap and tie. The sixty-eight-inch length of this case will accomodate about 99 percent of the recurves ever made.
Neet Archery has well-deserved reputation for making the finest bow cases on the market. The two cases here combine the quality fabrics with soft Trico linings to give your longbow or recurve the ultimate in soft-case protection. Neet longbow and recurve cases are available in two colourful American Indian patterns: Navajo, and Chippewa. We try to keep both patterns in stock, but if we are out of the one you order,we will send what have in on hand, unless you click the "must have option," of course.
The Neet Recurve Case is seventy-two-inches (182 cm) long and the recurve case is sixty-six-inches long. Both have a reinforced loser end for strength and durability and an end flap secured with a leather tie.
