Ishi and Elvis is one of those books that when you are reading it, you never want it to end.

This is the story of the author, Jim Hamm, and his struggles to rescue from overgrazing and neglect a seven-hundred-acre ranch that he bought in central Texas (America's Outback) and his quest to bag a gigantic buck he names Elvis for the big deer's ability to generate excitement in anyone who sees him.

Archery Tips and Tricks from NZAP QUICK TIPS

Storing Broadheads

Don't store your broadheads in your quiver especially if your quiver is the type with a foam pad to secure the tips. Over time moisture trapped in the foam can react with the steel and even stainless arrowheads may rust and dull.

Remove your arrows between hunts and keep them in a separate arrow box with the points suspended so they are free of contact with anything. A light spray of CRC will insure they stay bright and sharp.

If you unscrew your broadheads between hunts so you can use your arrows with field tips, store them in a plastic broadhead box. If you use a broadhead case with a foam pad in the bottom, push the insert, not the point, into the foam.
