We have recieved numerous requests for portable ground blinds suitable for bowhunting, so bowing to our customer's demands, we are offering a few here. Ground blinds are becoming increasingly popular in the US as bowhunters become disenchanted with tree stands. Blinds are lighter to carry and easier to set up and take down than tree stands, and they are a lot safer (it's hard to fall out of a ground blind). The blinds we list here are of particular interest to bowhunters but will also be useful to rifle hunters and waterfowlers.

Eastman Quick Set Ground Blind> The QuickSet ground blind from Easman Outfitters is appropriately named as it literally sets up in seconds. Mearly remove the blind from its handy carrying bag and shake it out, and you are done (unless you want to secure the guy lines and tiedowns to the six steel pegs that are included)
The blind is now ready for fast, three-sided concealment. This magnum version easily provides cover for two hunters (or even three if you are realy good mates). The four opening viewing/shooting ports are set at just the right height for a hunter sitting on ground, and the 40-inch overall height is perfect for bowhunters who want to sit on a stool and shoot over the top. The Quick set is also just the thing to have if you are looking forward to the opening day of duck season. The tough, Taffeta polyester shell is quiet, tear-resistant and weatherproof and features the new 3D Safari System for ultimate concealment.

Setting Up Your Ground Blind When searching for a location to set up your ground blind for bowhunting always consider wind drection first, then make sure there are clear shooting lanes in the directions that game is most likely to appear. When possible, it makes a lot of sense to scout your hunting blocks several weeks before your hunt to determine where you want your blind. If you can clear your shooting lanes in advance it gives the animals time to get used to them. |
