Lumenoks Lighted Arrow Nocks
Let's face it: nocks that light up when you shoot aren't for everybody. In fact, considering the price, they aren't even for most of us. Not until you think of all the advantages of having a few of your arrows fitted with Lumenocks, that is. Think of the advantages to the target archer who can now easily follow the flight of test arrows on the 90 meter range, the 3D shooter who can see exactly where an arrow contacts the target, and the bowhunter who can now have a quiver full of tracer arrows.
Adding a Luminock to a shaft will increase the weight of the arrow by only a few grains and NZAP has versions to suit any arrow that accepts the Easton Uni-Nock System and the Super Nock, H Nock and the X-nock for small diameter carbon shafts. These include the Easton St Axis, Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), St Epic, St Excel, Redline, Light Speed, Gold Tip Expedition Hunter, Carbon Impact, and many others. The Lumenok-X is the one to choose for Easton ST Axis, and FMJ arrows. The Lumenok-H is designed for use in Easton ST Epic and ST Excel. Teh GT Luminok fits the Gold Tip Expedition Hunter and XT Hunter Arrows.

The Lumenok is easy to install. Simply remove your standard nock and slip in the appropriate Lumenock, which will require no magnets or glue. Lumenocks contains no switch or any other moving parts and there is nothing to attach to your bow to make it work.
In use, the force of the string on the Lumenock on the release of the arrow shifts the nock forward in the arrow shaft until the Lumenok is fully seated against the electrically conductive end of the carbon or aluminum arrow shaft. This completes the electrical circuit and a brilliant light will come on. Pulling the Lumenock back out of the shaft a half millimeter or so will break the electrical contact between the arrow shaft and the Lumenok, which will extinguish the light. At this point the archer can put the Lumenok equipped arrow back in the quiver and forget about it until the next shot.
Once activated, the Lumenok will remain lit for up to 40 hours, and can be used for hundreds of shots before the battery runs down. If you want to see the Lumenok in action check out this video on

If you find you need to replace an aluminium RPS Insert in a carbon shaft, don't try to remove the old insert with heat the way you would with an aluminium shaft. The epoxy used to secure the insert in the shaft softens at approximately the same temperature as the matrix (the stuff that holds the carbon fibers together) in the arrow shaft. So you can't melt the epoxy without damaging the shaft.
Instead, get a set of metric drill bits in .5mm increments from about 3 mm and up. Now drill the old insert with increasingly larger drill bits until you have the entire insert removed. If you proceed slowly and carefully, you can usually remove the old insert without damaging the shaft.
