Muzzy Brass Arrow Inserts are a quick and easy way to increase your point weight without having to change the brand or weight of broadhead you are using. Bowhunters, particularly traditional bowhunters using longbows or recurve bows are learning the advantages of shooting arrow with a heavier-than-average FOC balance point. The additional weight up front can greatly improve arrow flight while having a dramatic effect on penetration.

This increase in performance is even more evident on carbon arrows that it is one aluminium arrow so if you are having trouble getting carbon arrows to fly properly out of a traditional bow, give these inserts a try. You will be amazed at how much difference that even 50 grains of additional weight on the arrow point can make on arrow flight. Naturally a heavier FOC will increase trajectory and cause the arrow to drop more quickly on longer shots but it will have a minimal effect on shorter shots of 25 meters or so.

NZAP carry the Muzzy Brass inserts in two sizes: 5/16" for standard dimension carbon shafts like the Easton PowerFlight, LightSpeed, Beman Bowhunter, Gold Tip Hunter Series (XT and Expedition Hunter) and the Easton HIT (Hidden Insert Technology) size for the ST Axis and the Full Metal Jacket. The 5/16" comes in 50 grains and 100 grains while the HIT comes in 100 grain only. Install these brass inserts the same way that you do the standard aluminium ones, with epoxy or Insert Iron, or add them to your arrow order and we will install them for you. Come in packets of six inserts.
